I finished Mass Effect 3 last night. I haven't been involved with the Mass Effect saga as long as most. If I'm not mistaken, I was introduced to the games less than a year ago. But boy, was I emotionally invested. The games have made me laugh, cry, and shiver with excitement and fear more than anything. It was the perfect story. During my ME3 playthrough, I spotted several things I thought would ignite, even enrage the fanbase (knowing how flammable it is). I don't know how to share a story of two fandoms colliding, when I don't know a single other person involved in both fandoms. Might as well share it here, I guess. Anyone who is played Mass Effect 2 is of course familiar with Mordin's "I Am the Very Model of a Scientist Salarian". Even though I've been a musical geek since the mature age of ten, I'm completely unfamiliar with Gilbert and Sullivan. I like to think I have no delusions about my art. It's neither spectacular or ground-breaking, and I'm positively surprised every time I get positive feedback or any kind of recognition. Still, I found myself somewhat annoyed when I discovered that one of my Mass Effect screenshot manipulations is circulating the blogosphere with no credit, except a reference to the person who apparently was the first to put it there, and who has nothing to do with me.
